Life in Lahaina
What makes Lahaina such a special place?

Its the happiness of the local people and the "aw" of the tourist. The history of the city and how its grown, some good and not much bad.Its the best place to come and see clowns,strangers and such. Where elce can one see a fellow on a bicycle with a parrot on his shoulder, then the next block a tourist with a suit and a vest from the mainland. I miss people like Highschool Harry, the old chinaman with all the buttons, I can sit by the hour and watch the lahaina show all day, and have, mahalo westmauited

We always feel we are "home" when we sit down to eat lunch at Aloha Mixed Plate in Lahaina and it just gets better from there!

A lot of things make Lahaina special. The art galleries, the ocean views, but most of all, the people.
