The Read Aloud Program (RAP)

Read Aloud America is a nonprofit 501(C)3 organization in Hawaii that promotes literacy, encourages a love of reading in adults and children, and increases children's prospects for success in school and life. The Read Aloud Program (RAP), is a fun family literacy program, where families come together at a local elementary school for six evenings total, about every other week. At RAP, families experience the joy and pleasure of listening to great stories, read by our volunteer readers. We need readers for children from K-8th grades to read aloud for 45 minutes at King Kamehameha III Elementary. Programs are on Thursdays for Aug 26, Sep 9, Sep 23, Oct 14, Oct 28 and Nov 4. RAP runs from 6 p.m - 7:45 p.m. If you are interested please call us at 531-1985!
