Optimized Battery Charging now available for iPhones

Most people charge their iPhones overnight, and now you can use the new setting to Optimized Battery Charging. This will keep your iPhone's battery at 80 percent for most of the night, then finishing off the last 20 percent of charge right before your alarm goes off.

To use the new features, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health and turn it on.

When you're scrolling a webpage in Safari, a new Scroll Bar shows up on the right side of the screen. It's a circle with three dots inside it that allows you to scroll faster.

Try it out by long-pressing on the three dots icon and drag it up or down. The faster you drag, the faster Safari's webpage will scroll.

A really cool feature on your iPhone in the Mail, Messages and Notes Apps is the ability to search using your voice instead of typing. All you have to do is click on the microphone icon on the right side of the Search bar and talk instead of type. Pretty cool!

To try it, open the Messages App, swipe down to reveal the Search field, click on the icon, then say something you need to find.

Apple has finally given us the option to remove the App Store Download Limits or large App Size. So, if you want, you can download a game that's over a gigabyte in size. Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store > App Downloads to get rid of the limit, or have the App Store ask you if you want to download any apps over 200 megabytes.

Apple's FaceTime supports group calls of up to 32 people. That's enough to get all your friends and family members together, but it only works on Apple devices.

Zoom, Google Duo and Skype can be downloaded to smartphones, tablets and computers, and Facebook's Messenger App also offers a built-in video-chat feature.

Any calls made over a Wi-Fi connection are free, but standard data charges apply to those placed via cellular service.

If you prefer not to download the Messenger App, you can place audio and video calls through Facebook's desktop website.

Just open up a message window with one of your Facebook friends and click on the phone or camera icon in the upper-right-hand corner.

Facebook also owns WhatsApp Messenger, which offers similar features. You don't need to have a Facebook account to use it. It's tied to your phone number instead.

There is a new feature in Pages called "Drop Cap." Open Pages, click on Format at the top right, choose Style, scroll down and check the "Drop Cap" box. Just below it is the Option Box, where you can have a blast making that "W" stand out. Now to use it, just click in any paragraph and the first letter of a word stands out.
