Adorned with thousands of lights and decorations, the Holiday Express departs the Puukolii Station in Kaanapali for a four-mile round-trip journey.

Tickets can be purchased at sugarcanetrain.com.

The Holiday Express Train experience will include a memorable ride from the Puukolii Station in Kaanapali, heading south toward Lahaina, with a brief stop at the North Pole.

The train will be adorned with thousands of holiday decorations and lights, with caroling along the way and a very special appearance by Santa.

All guests will enjoy complimentary milk and fresh-baked cookies, and keiki will receive a special toy from Santa.

A premium class experience is also available, offering guests more time with Santa, a downloadable holiday photo of your group and a custom engineer's hat.

Full train car buyouts are also available for up to 48 passengers.

In 1969, the late A.W. "Mac" McKelvey partnered with the Makai Corp. to establish the Sugar Cane Train.

The Lahaina, Kaanapali and Pacific Railroad operated the Sugar Cane Train, a six-mile trip from Lahaina to Kaanapali in open-air coaches pulled by vintage steam locomotives.

From 1970 to 2014, more than five million visitors rode the attraction, which featured Hawaiian-style entertainment and narrators.
