Parish to play free concert

August 22, 2019
Lahaina News

LAHAINA - On Thursday, Aug. 29, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., enjoy the free Hawaiian Music Series featuring Kala'e Parish on the front lawn of the Baldwin Home Museum at the corner of Front and Dickenson streets in Lahaina.

Now in its 11th consecutive year, Lahaina Restoration Foundation's monthly series is a popular event and wonderful way to spend a warm summer evening in Lahaina.

Parish has been a professional musician and entertainer in Hawaii since 2013, performing throughout the islands and abroad. Recording and releasing original music alongside band Eden Roc, their songs earned top spots on Hawaii radio stations.

In 2016, Parish began his solo journey as an artist and recorded his first album. His new album, titled "Where I Reside," will be released in fall 2019. This eclectic eight-track release will feature all original songs with a fresh twist of music, from pop country infused with lyrics about his island home, to smooth Latin rock, to love ballads.

Limited seating is provided; blankets, mats and low beach chairs are welcome. A paid parking lot is located behind the venue with access from Dickenson Street. Parking fees from the lot are used by Lahaina Restoration Foundation to maintain and preserve the many historic sites in Lahaina.
