LAHAINA - Lahaina Cannery Mall merchants invite the public to hop into spring at their action-packed "Hop ?'n Shop Easter Festival" on Saturday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The free family event will feature face painting, balloon art, keiki crafts and a comedy magic show by local favorite Holden Mowat.

There will also be a photo booth with the Easter Bunny himself and a store-to-store Easter egg giveaway with 4,000 candy-filled eggs.

Photos with the Easter Bunny will be available between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday. Photo packages are provided by Imaging Plus Hawaii.

From 10 to 11:30 a.m., keiki can gather candy-filled eggs placed in colorful Easter baskets near the checkout counter of each Lahaina Cannery Mall store. Those lucky enough to find a golden egg will win a special prize. Golden eggs can be redeemed for prizes at the table next to the Easter photo booth.

Families are encouraged to bring their own baskets for the Easter egg hunt, but a limited number of bags will be available at the Easter prize table if needed.

Lahaina Cannery Mall also continues to host Lahaina Arts Society (LAS) in April. Many of Maui's most talented artists will be showcased at the LAS Art Fair to be held on the lawn fronting Starbucks on April 20, 21 and 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Come out and talk story with LAS artists, and view and purchase paintings, glass art, ceramics, photography, woodcarving, jewelry and more.

The Hawaii State Public Library System's Holoholo Bookmobile will be at Lahaina Cannery Mall on Wednesday, April 17, between 1 and 2 p.m. The Bookmobile offers books for all ages, DVDs, audio books, story times, free Wi-Fi, reference help and assistance with eResources.

Printed copies of the bookmobile's new schedule are available at Maui Public Libraries. For more information, visit www.librarieshawaii.org, click the "Visit" tab, then "Maui Bookmobile," or call Wailuku Public Library at 243-5766.
