The Student & Faculty Showcase celebrates Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center, a space that encourages learning, creativity and experimentation.

Juried by hui teaching artists, this exhibition showcases artwork created in and inspired by classes and workshops.

To be eligible for entry, students, faculty and open studio users must have participated in an adult hui program (class, workshop or open studio session) within the last two years (April 2017 to April 2019).

The showcase features class and personal artwork and recognizes the hui community's many creative ideas, methods and interests.

Hui No'eau's Student and Faculty Showcase provides the community with an opportunity to view current work of local artists in all media.

Ceramics, printmaking, sculpture, photography, painting, drawing, jewelry, digital media, fiber, wood, mixed-media and all other creative explorations are welcome.

The jurors for the upcoming exhibit are the hui's very own Teaching Artists: Bob Flint, Roberta Weisenburg, Terry Lopez and Christine Waara.

Receiving Day is on Tuesday, April 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hui No'eau Visual Arts Center.

The prospectus and entry forms are available online at huinoeau.com/exhibitions.

The hui's year-round Exhibition Program is made possible with support from the Hawaii Tourism Authority. Community members can support Hui No'eau's educational programs and outreach efforts by visiting huinoeau.com/donate or by calling (808) 572-6560, extension 25.

Hui No'eau is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, non-degree granting, community-based visual arts education organization offering open access to quality visual arts instruction by professional teaching artists and free arts opportunities through exhibitions, lecture series and more.
