LAHAINA – The students of Lahainaluna High School’s Agriculture & Future Farmers of America program will be holding their annual plant sale fundraiser on Saturday, May 12, from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the Lahaina Cannery Mall parking lot.

Agriculture students and their teacher, Keith Ideoka, will be selling student-grown plants at good prices.

Traditionally, pikake, gardenia and pakalana will sell out quickly, so come early for the best selection.

Many other common tropical and exotic plants will be available, such as ginger, ti, croton and plumeria. There will also be fig trees, mulberry trees, aloe and succulents ready for summer garden planting/landscaping projects.

All funds raised from the plant sale will be used to reduce travel costs for students participating in the state FFA conference, to offer scholarships for graduating seniors and to purchase new supplies and equipment for students in the agriculture classes.
