MBB’s Business in the Think Tank coming to the Pioneer Inn

June 15, 2017
Lahaina News

LAHAINA - A morning session of Business in the Think Tank - a brainstorming meeting created five years ago by Maui Business Brainstormers - will be held at the Pioneer Inn in Lahaina on Tuesday, June 27.

These meetings are held twice a month at various locations across Maui and semi-yearly in Hana and on Oahu.

The idea is simple: business owners who want to grow their enterprise but are facing challenges have the opportunity to present their case to fellow business owners, who, in turn, will ask questions and offer insight, ideas and suggestions. As a result, all participants can learn from each other.

Kahu David Kapaku and Kauionalani Waller - both small business owners living in West Maui - will be the hosts of the event scheduled for 8:45 to 10:30 a.m.

"In five years of BiTT meetings, this is the first time we will host it in the morning. This opens up an opportunity for people who can't leave their workplace midday at noon," said Kapaku.

Seats are limited, and online registration is required for this BiTT meeting in West Maui; go to www.meetup.com/MauiBusinessBrainstormers.

Anyone interested in attending any MBB event must become a member and register online. Membership is free, and the membership list is never shared with any third party.

Thirteen volunteer organizers are the makers and shakers of MBB: Trisha Anderson, Molly Balzano, Pat Diaz, Lori Fisher, Nicole Fisher, Grace Fung, Ed Gazmen, Kapaku, Tricia Morris, Mel Patterson, Gylian Solay, John Hau'oli Tomoso and Waller.

Since 2012, Maui Business Brainstormers has been creating a landscape of opportunity for Maui's individual, micro and small businesses.

Wholly voluntary and sponsorship-based, MBB has built its reputation by providing educational events with no sales pitch. Events are free (except for dinner events).

Speakers have donated their time and knowledge freely, and attendees have recognized the educational value and integrity provided.
