February 16, 2017
Lahaina News

LAHAINA - Malama Maui Nui and the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset's "Go Green Recycle Every Third Saturday" continues on Feb. 18 as part of a major collaborative effort to bring convenient residential recycling to West Maui.

On the third Saturday of every month through June 2017, residents can bring a wide variety of recyclables to bins set up in the parking lot of Lahaina Cannery Mall from 9 a.m. to noon. Recyclables will be accepted at no charge.

Volunteers will accept appliances (working or not), bicycles, cardboard, cameras (photo or video), cellular phones, computers, gaming consoles, HI-5 cans and bottles, standard tires (there is a suggested $5 donation to drop off regular-sized or smaller vehicle tires), vehicle batteries, push lawn mowers, magazines, microwaves, newspaper, plastics (1 and 2), printers, scrap metal and televisions.

These recycling events are made possible by partners at the County of Maui, 5A Rent-A-Space, and Lahaina Cannery Mall.
