LAHAINA - The only outlet center in the world with an oceanfront location in a historic resort town, The Outlets of Maui celebrated a successful Grand Opening on
Friday, Dec. 6, with hundreds of guests and retail partners such as Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Guess, Coach, Izod, Lucky Brand, Wilson's Leather, Kay Jewelers, Adidas, Hilo Hattie, Maui Sunglass, Crocs, Perfumania, Michael Kors, Gap, Banana Republic, Carter's Babies & Kids, Brooks Brothers and The Luggage Factory.
The celebration included special performances by world-famous jazz aficionado Jimmy Borges, Grammy Award winner George Kahumoku Jr. and recording artist and film star Christina Souza.

The Hawaiian-style celebration also included a traditional blessing by Kumu Hula Kapono'ai Molitau, keiki hula halau performance by Na Kamali'i Nani O Lahaina and music by the Kalani Smythe Trio.
Santa and his menehune made a special appearance for the kids, and Hard Rock Cafe, Ruth's Chris Steak House, Ono Gelato & Espresso Bar, Pi Artisan Pizzeria and Cold Stone Creamery topped off the evening with local gourmet fare for all.
"It has taken countless hands, minds and hearts, on Maui as well as across the islands and our nation, to bring The Outlets of Maui to fruition," said Mona Abadir, representative of The Outlets of Maui.

The Outlets of Maui, located at the former Lahaina Center along Front and Papalaua streets, is designed with a village-style circulation plan, teak furniture, large caf umbrellas, new directional signage and the iconic clock tower.
