HONOLULU - ICAT Managers and Centauri Specialty Insurance Company recently sponsored a multi-island educational event with over 250 insurance agency participants.

Events were held in Honolulu, Kona and Maui, providing continuing educational classes to agents throughout the state.

"Through the generosity of many of the participants, we were able to raise about 300 pounds of donations, including food, toiletries and clothing items, and several checks totaling over $300," noted Paul Laub, president of the Maui County Veterans Council.

Many agents participated in the charity effort.

"We are grateful to everyone who generously gave to our troops and their families."

The donated items go to deployed troops, families of lower ranking troops and to homeless and needy veterans.
