Reimann joins Monsanto Hawaii

KIHEI - Monsanto Hawaii announced the appointment of Carol Reimann as Maui community and government affairs manager.

Reimann is well-known for her work at Kapalua Resort, including management of such signature events as the PGA Tour-opening Mercedes-Benz Championships and Kapalua Wine & Food Festival.

More recently, she served as executive director of the Maui Hotel & Lodging Association, where she directed numerous community programs, including the Visitor Industry Charity Walk that last year raised a record-setting $613,000 and benefitted over 80 Maui nonprofit organizations; Excellence in Education Golf Tournament, raising valuable scholarship funds for Maui's youth; and MHLA's annual Kupuna Dinner, which provides a holiday feast for more than 500 senior citizens.

A staunch believer in community involvement, Reimann has volunteered for the Maui Chamber of Commerce, Academy of Hospitality & Tourism, Maui Visitors Bureau, Workforce Investment Advisory Group, Hawaii Public Utilities Commission Integrated Resource Planning Group, Maui County Civil Defense and the Committee on the Status of Women.

"Carol's extensive professional portfolio and her genuine commitment to the community is a tremendous asset to Monsanto's team in Hawaii," said Fred Perlak, vice president of research and business operations for Monsanto Hawaii.
