Friend seeks support for ‘Christmas for the Cascos in Disneyland’ campaign

By Staff | Dec 6, 2012

Family was at the top of Willy Casco’s priorities.

LAHAINA – Angela Leone is on a mission to raise $5,000 in 30 days to send a West Side family to Disneyland this Christmas.

“They lost their father/husband in May to cancer, and it’s Juli’s dream to take her kids to Disney this Christmas,” Leone explained.

Well-known in the West Side community, Willy Casco passed away on May 27, 2012. He was 54.

Willy is survived by his wife, Juli; their children, Seraya, Will Jr. and Colton; his sister, Tina Casco; brothers Randy (Stacy), Kale (Val), Bobby and Gordon (Jill) Casco; and 16 nieces and nephews.

Leone explained, “This will be Juli’s first Christmas without her husband – something I could never imagine. She is an amazing woman whose faith in the Lord is so strong despite this unexpected turn in her life.

“She told me that it’s her dream to take her kids to Disneyland this year to celebrate the holidays in the happiest place on Earth. She is committed to making this happen, but it will use up much of her savings to do so.

“Please join me in helping to make Juli’s wish come true this Christmas.”

So far, supporters have raised $1,542 online at www.indiegogo.com through the “Christmas for the Cascos in Disneyland” campaign that expires on Dec. 14.

Money donated will help the family pay for plane tickets, hotel, rental car, food and Disneyland tickets.

“Your prayers are so important! Please pray for continued strength for Juli as she embarks on this new chapter of her life and pray for each of her children,” Leone added.
