LAHAINA - The Lahainaluna High School girls basketball team and Lahaina Girls Basketball Club send a sincere mahalo to the many individuals, families, businesses and organizations that donated to the organization's extremely successful fundraising drive that allowed them the opportunity to take part in the End of Trail Shootout Basketball Tournament in Oregon City, Oregon, earlier this year.

Nearly a year ago, the club began this drive to finance the trip for the 15 girls on the roster.

Led by committee Chairman Don Rosenthal and parents Joanne Bates, Mike Bates and Aurora Matsuda, the families and friends of the girls worked tirelessly in the Lahaina and Maui communities to ask for financial help.

As always, the response was tremendous, the fund raising complete, and the girls enjoyed a very valuable training trip to Oregon.

Also, the EOT Tournament is noted as the number one venue for student athletes to gain notice from college scouts. Several Lady Lunas made contact with these coaches.
