The concert is set for Monday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m. at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Castle Theater.
HYS’ Youth Symphony I, a 90-member symphonic orchestra, will be under the baton of Music Director Henry Miyamura, who is known for creative and innovative programming.
The orchestra is comprised of secondary school students from 22 schools on Oahu and the Big Island. Seven students from the Maui Youth Philharmonic Orchestra will join the orchestra for this concert.
Willie K will perform both classic and newly released works with the orchestra.
Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The Hawaii Youth Symphony makes excellent music education available to all Hawaii youth. HYS annually serves more than 700 students ages 5-18 from over 100 schools across the state.
