Tester leads Maui Young Business Roundtable

The Maui Young Business Roundtable announced that David Tester was elected as its president for the 2009-10 year at its board meeting held Aug. 26.

A commercial account manager for Maui Electric Company, Tester is involved with many nonprofit organizations, including Maui United Way and Mediation Services of Maui. He currently serves as a director of the FEMA Emergency Food and Shelter Program.

Other officers of the organization are Jason Williams of Central Pacific Bank as vice-president, Josh Jerman of The Wailea Group as secretary, Cathy Shimizu of Central Pacific Bank as treasurer and Kalbert Young of the County of Maui as sergeant-at-arms.

Other directors include Tiffany Iida and Past President Herman Andaya of Maui Community College, Past President Keith Regan of Credit Associates of Maui Ltd., and Bryce Thayer of Bank of Hawaii.
